A brass cased floating Compass with lid. The paper dial is printed TH. Ronne Kjobenhavn. Whereas the same letters are used for three of the points as in England, the fourth East is marked with an O. North is marked with a Fleur de Lys.
The base of the case is made for a separate piece, fixed in place. The lid is a push on, pull off and is slightly domed.
This compass is in working order and tall relative to its diameter. Late 19th Century
