A Brass Cased Open Face Compass.
The compass has a fob ring to the top and a sliding lock for the needle, to the side The glass is raised above the brass case and is a good thickness. The edge of the case has a moulding, perhaps to give a better grip.
The compass is in working order. Late 19th Century.
