A leather cased Travel Cutlery and Beaker Set by J.C. Vickery.

The case is pocket sized to be easily carried and would have been useful on a train journey or for Field Sports. A glass beaker sits within the case and holds a leather pad with loops to hold a knife and fork. They are made of steel, brass and nickel plate with ivorine handles. The pigskin leather case is lined in red which matches the cutlery pad.

The retailer's details of 'J.C. Vickery. To Their Majesties The King & Queen. 179, 181 & 183 Regent Street' is stamped in gilt to the red inner sleeve of the case. The top of the case is stamped with a star to one side and two stars to the bottom to help the user put the top on the correct way round. The condition of the set is very good. Early 20th Century.
