A leather Cigar Case, which is unusual for its side opening to the inner sleeve. Most cigar cases have their opening to the short end.

The outer case is made of 2 pieces with the main body only stitched to one side and to the end piece. The inner sleeve is shaped to its aperture to give easier access and is stamped Orlik, English Made.

Louis Orlik moved to London from Vienna at the turn of 1900, to set up in business whilst his brother, Alfred went to America. Orlik were based in Great Arthur Street and started by making cigarette holders and pipes. After the business moved to Ashbrook Road in the mid 1920s, they added leather work to their range with the introduction of cigar and pipe cases etc. Circa 1930.
