A pair of cast brass Brighton Bun Travel Candlesticks.
This pair have a plain edge to the dish. One dish has a screw fitting with the other a threaded hole to receive it so that the two can be screwed together to form a bun shape. One sconce is also fitted with a screw, whilst the other has a threaded hole allowing both to fix to their opposite dish. The sconces fit inside the dishes when they are screwed together for travel. Early to mid 19th Century.
Size for use is given.
The 5th photo shows these Buns sat on top a larger pair with a moulded edge for comparison.
