A walnut Cake Stand that flat packs for storage.
The 3 legs are made to concertina to allow the stand to collapse, once the brass hook catch to the top of each is released. When folded, the stand is only 4 inches in height. The legs are united at their tops by a turned T handle so that the stand can be lifted. It's likely that this Cake Stand was made by the Army and Navy CSL. The underside of the bottom tray is stamped 51322, in their manner, and there is a round cut out that is the correct size to take one of their plaques. Circa 1900.
